Milestone Utility Services optimizes utility meter-to-cash processes by helping gas, water, and electric utilities improve customer engagement and enhance CIS performance. We were founded in 2002 in response to the utility industry’s need for qualified and experienced Customer Information Systems (CIS) services and consulting. We utilize our experience to implement and integrate solutions regardless of the backend customer systems. Throughout our 18 years, we have become a diversified services and solutions provider with veteran experts in various CIS solutions, digital self-service and UX, MDM, AMI, Mobile WorkForce Management, and Hosted and Managed cloud services. Milestone began the design and development of the customer self-service solution, ePortal, in 2013 as a result of a void our customers were realizing of digital engagement platforms and the seamless integration with their back-office systems. Because our background had always been helping our customers meet their business needs through the technology of their customer platforms, this was a logical extension for Milestone, and we began packaging our customer engagement solutions for the industry. This experience has even led to the development of a consumer-friendly IVR solution, eIVRConnect, to provide affordable, secure, and reliable IVR services to utilities.
Since our inception, our core business is as a services company specific to the Utility industry and more specifically Utility Customer systems extending to mission-critical enterprise applications with a focus on those applications and technologies supporting the entire Meter to Cash process. Within that footprint, we provide the entire lifecycle of services.

Speaker: Chris Boeke–Partner, Chief Customer Officer
Chris Boeke, CCO: Chris is the newest partner and Chief Customer Officer at Milestone, having joined in June 2019. Chris has over 20 years of Utility Industry and IT Management experience. Prior to joining Milestone, Chris served as an IT Director at Vectren Corporation for almost 14 years and was responsible for Enterprise Applications and Infrastructure Strategy, operations and execution of those strategies. In his last 3 years at Vectren, he was responsible for all aspects of IT related to the Financials and Program Management as well as running large scale programs. These programs involved selecting and implementing an entirely new enterprise application stack. Chris led the Vectren team through the transformation with Oracle, using, at that time, an unknown and unproven innovative Agile approach and a disciplined out of box mentality to implementing and building application software. Prior to Vectren, Chris was a consultant with Keane for 7 years as a Principal Consultant serving the Utility, Telecommunications and Insurance industries.

Miguel Echeverria leads the IT Division for the Water Services Department of Kansas City Missouri. With over 30 years’ experience in the Information Technology field, Miguel has been involved in numerous system implementations including Customer Relationship Management, Automated Meter Infrastructure, Maintenance and Asset Management, Financial Management, and cloud-based applications for mobile solutions.
